Traveling in Europe

Last fall, a friend and I decided to get out of the city for a bit and ended up staying at River Rock Casino in Richmond more for convenience than anything else. We were surprised how much we enjoyed it – the room was solid, the river view was calming, and we found a quiet corner in the lounge for drinks without the chaos. We skipped most of the casino action, but the steakhouse dinner was genuinely good. The real highlight was walking along the water in the morning and taking the Canada Line into Vancouver to check out the markets. It wasn't flashy, but it was exactly the kind of slow, unplanned weekend we needed. If you're after something simple and easy, it's worth a look.
